Names[Transcribed by Amy Russell 18 Oct 2011] The members of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Kokomo, Indiana met on the second floor of the Y. M. C. A. Building in the City of Kokomo, Indian, on Monday, February 22, 1932, at 7:30 o’clock p. m. The meeting was opened with prayer by Rev. E. Huenergard of Chicago. Mr. Charles Obermeyer, Vice Chairman of the Council then took charge of the meeting and presided as Chairman. In the absence of Mr. Veaux Bowman, Secretary of the church council, Mr. R. F. Obermeyer was appointed Clerk of the meeting. The minutes of the previous congregational meeting were then read and approved. The clerk then read the call for this special meeting as published in the Kokomo Tribune on February 8th, 1932. Also submitted proof of publication of such notice, which proof of publication and notice reads as follows, to wit: - Publisher’s Certificate State of Indiana, Howard County, SS: Personally appeared Mary E. Gibson, The Book-keeper of the Kokomo Tribune, a public daily newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Kokomo, in the County of afore- said, who being duly sworn upon his oath, saith that this notice, of which attached is a true copy, was duly published in said paper for 1 week successively, the first of which pub- lication was on the 8th day of February, 1932, and the last on the 8th day of February, 1932.
