Names[Transcribed by Amy Russell 18 Oct. 2011] St. John’s Lutheran Church – Petition for Organization 1931 We, the undersigned, living in and near the city of Kokomo, Indiana, believing that we should have a congregation of the United Lutheran Church in America in this community, respectfully petition the Michigan Synod of the United Lutheran Church in America, through its proper officers and agencies, to organize us into such a Lutheran Congregation. We believe that there are splendid possibilities for the development of a strong Lutheran congregation of this type and we pledge ourselves to do all within our power to help in the establishment and development of such a congregation.
